This guitar might win the 'longest model name ever' award. It is a 2024 Fender 70th Anniversary American Professional II Stratocaster and it has a really nice Flamed Maple top. But wait-there's more! It also has a high contrast rosewood fingerboard and faux tortoise shell pickguard. So much cool to look at. This guitar was purchased new and is unplayed. The guitar is in like new condition and needs nothing-it is ready to go.
The Comet Burst finish really brings out the fire in the flamed maple top. The finish is nice and glossy and it just glows-very striking. The Comet Burst features a softer dark brownish edge like a vintage Stratocaster would have, rather than just a black. It is a really warm look and nicely compliments the beautiful woodgrain. The neck is straight and has a really comfortable deep-C profile. The neck depth measures .824" at the 1st fret and .895" at the 12th fret. The nut measures 1.71" wide. The Rosewood fingerboard is smooth with a very soft touch and Fender rolled the edges fro a super-comfortable playing experience. The original locking tuners all function perfectly and the headstock and logo display excellent. The frets are like new condition-see photos. The fingerboard looks untouched as well-it is super clean. The string height is currently .010" at the 1st fret and .050" at the 12th for a perfect action. The guitar plays lights out up and down the fingerboard with an easy soft touch. The frets are Tall and really crisp.
The pickups are 70th anniversary V-Mod II single coil Stratocaster units and have the classic Vintage Fender Bell chime. The output measures 6.15 ohms in the neck position, 6.27 in the middle and 6.51 ohms in the bridge position. all of the controls function smoothly. The bridge is the 2-point Synchronized Tremolo with vintage style saddles and pop-in Tremolo arm with a Cold-rolled Steel block. The guitar is lightweight, it only weighs 7.92 lbs. It has an excellent balance.
The original Fender hardcase is clean and comes with a key for the lock. (exciting!)
