Here is a real beauty!  2015 Gibson Firebird V Non-Reverse model in tobacco burst finish.  This Firebird was made at the Gibson factory in Tennessee, U.S.A.  It is super clean condition, like new.  It has a "demo" stamp near the serial number and therefore could not be sold to a Gibson dealership.   Like many Gibson guitars, it was sold through the Repair and Restoration shop.  It comes with the original warranty and inspection list along with Gibson certificate booklet.  It has no breaks, cracks or repairs.  Other than "demo duty" it has never been played.  It is 100% original.  It is ready to play now, and needs nothing.

The body is mahogany and very beautifully grained-see photos. The Tobacco Sunburst finish is super glean and shines perfectly.  The body shape is one of the best ever to roll out of Gibson's factories in my opinion.  The guitar features a set neck design and the neck joint is an excellent fitment.  The neck angle is also perfect.

The neck is Mahogany and it is super straight and feels really nice.  It has an early 1960's Gibson slim profile and its nice and wide; measuring 1.68" at the nut.  The neck measures .822" deep at the 1st fret and .855" at the 12th fret.   The grover tuners all function smoothly and the guitar stays in tune perfectly.  The headstock and logo display excellent.  That shape!  The rosewood fingerboard is clean and appears like new condition.  The frets are also like new condition-see photos.  The action is set low for a fast and easy playing experience. The Firebird plays with a very light touch and is very fun.  The string height is currently .010" at the 1st fret and .045" at the 12th fret.  It plays lights out up and down the fingerboard with zero dead spots.

The pickups are humbuckers and I'm guessing these are "mini-humbuckers" because Gibson has told me that that is what they put in all modern Firebirds.  The neck pickup is fairly sedated and smooth and glassy.  The bridge pickup is REALLY hot and drives your amp like crazy.  It sounds very aggressive and totally rips.

The controls all function smoothly and quietly.  The bridge and tailpiece are in excellent condition.   Speaking of which, This Tune-o-matic with the stop tailpiece is what Gibson should have had on their original 1960's firebirds.  The sustain and resonance is so superior to the original vibrola design.   It also allows for greater adjustments and more precise intonation.

The guitar is super lightweight and lots of fun to play.  It only weighs 7.70 lbs.-lighter than a stratocaster.   The offset body design fits perfectly in your lap and has excellent balance on a strap.  Once you pick it up, you won't want to put it down.  Its one of those guitars you just want to play all of the time.

Original hard case is in excellent condition.  Comes with Original Gibson booklet certificate, warranty and care manual.   This guitar would make an excellent gift for someone-that someone may be you, and that is ok.
