Here is a really clean 2013 MIM Fender Telecaster Cabronita in one of the best finishes ever to come from Fender: Surf Green!  This guitar was made in Mexico in 2013 and is about as close to new condition as possible-it still has the plastic covering on the pickguard.  This guitar is 100% original.  The name is a slang word in Spanish which translates to English roughly meaning "little Bitch" although Google claims it is "little Bastard" which would technically be Cabronito...Either way-it is hilarious that Fender actually used this name for their product.   The guitar has been professionally set up and it is ready to go-it needs nothing.

The body is the familiar Telecaster "slab" profile with single cutaway.  The finish is named "Surf Green" and has a beautiful pastel quality to it.  Depending on its surroundings, it can appear light Mint colored or take on a very pale turquoise hue.  The body is clean and the finish has a nice soft gloss to it.  The sides and back are just as clean as the front-see photos.  The neck joint is an excellent fitment.

The neck itself is nice and straight with a very smooth feel.  It has a gloss Urethane finish that provides durability and an amazingly soft, velvet like feel just like a vintage guitar that has been played forever.  The neck is a nice Medium C shape profile and the neck has an excellent width measuring 1.68" wide at the nut.  The neck depth measures 8.70" deep at the 1st fret and 9.02" deep at the 12th fret.  The tuners are the original locking variety and function perfectly and smoothly.  The headstock and logo display excellent.  The maple fingerboard is clean as can be and the frets are super-crisp with Zero wear, they appear like new-see photos.  The action is set very low for a fast and very easy playing experience.  The string height measures .010" at the 1st fret and just .045" at the 12th fret!  The guitar plays very nicely up and down the fingerboard.

The pickups are the original Gretsch style Filtertrons and they have an excellent signal and balance.   These pickups sound exactly as you would expect:  like a hot sizzling Gretsch wrapped up in a barking Tele Punch.  Lots of midrange here and they respond to overdrive like a champ!  They have a nice sparkling brilliance.  The neck pickup measures 5.95 ohms and the bridge position measures 6.39 ohms.  The single volume control functions smoothly and quietly.  The 3-way switch provides selections between either pickup or both on at the same time.  The pickguard is clean and flat-the plastic wrapper is still affixed to it.  The bridge and saddles are super clean.

The guitar has a very comfortable feel to it and it is very lightweight-it only weighs 7.57 lbs.  It feels great on a strap or in your lap-no shoulder fatigue issues here!  This is a fun guitar to play and it sounds really good with any quality tube amp cranked up!  Comes with a soft case for added protection.
