Here's a really nice 2007 Gibson Dot neck '58 RI ES-335-TDC for your consideration. This guitar was produced at the Gibson Factory in Nashville Tennessee U.S.A. in 2007 and it was the 3rd one made that day according to serial number.
The guitar is 100% original with no breaks, cracks or repairs. It plays, looks and sounds great. It was nicely cared for and presents in excellent condition with no issues.
The body is clean and the bright Cherry Red stain glows like new. There is minimal playing evidence in the form of superfluous pick line marks etc. see photos. The sides and back are as clean as the top. The cream binding adds a nice contrast and it is in excellent condition as well. The neck joint is an excellent fitment and the neck angle is perfect. The neck itself is super straight and feels nice and smooth like glass. The neck measures 1.70" (1 11/16") wide at the nut and the profile is best described as a vintage slim Gibson profile. The neck depth measures .804" at the 1st fret and .884" at the 12th fret. The tuners all function smoothly with precision. The guitar stays in tune excellent... The headstock and logo display nicely. There is a faint shadow from a clip on tuner-see photos. The rosewood fingerboard is clean and very nicely figured with a high contrast grain coloring. It is really cool! The frets have been professionally leveled, crowned and polished and appear near-new height and condition-see photos. They are crisp and super clean. The action is set low for a fast and easy playing experience. The action can easily be raised if you prefer that. The string height is currently .010" at the 1st fret and .050" at the 12th fret-the perfect low-action preferred by most. The guitar plays perfect up and down the fingerboard with no dead spots or funny business. The guitar has a really nice resonance even unplugged-you can immediately tell it is super solid.
The pickups are the original PAF units and they sound killer! The pickups have na excellent signal and measure 7.66 ohms at the neck and 7.72 ohms at the bridge. They are super smooth and full of that sparkly brilliance that only a PAF can really lay down. Warms lows, crisp mid and clear highs. The electronics all function smoothly and quietly. The bridge and stop tailpiece are nice and look really good.
The guitar weighs 8.44 lbs. and is a lot of fun to play. It fits comfortably and feels great on a strap or in your lap.
