Here's a super clean guitar that sounds really dirty.   2007  Fender FSR Straight Six Stratocaster in original Hot Rod Black Matte finish.   This one has a white pickguard so everyone can see you only need one pickup to get the job done.  This Fender Special Run Stratocaster model was only made one year, that's why it's special.  The distinguishing features of this model were the satin finish on the body and neck and the single hum bucker pickup with one single volume control.  If Billy the Kid were here now, he would play this guitar.  It's clean, it has been professionally set up, it's all-original and it's ready to go.  Step up to the plate.

The body features the typical Stratocaster model contours front and rear.  It feels lightweight and very comfortable in your lap.  The finish is marketed as a matte-black, but I would call it a semi-gloss or satin finish, as it does reflect light a tiny bit.  There are tiny line scratches in a few spots but the body and finish are in very nice shape overall.  The finish has a way of 'eating up the light' and it looks really smooth and velvety.

The neck joint is solid with no issues.  The neck itself has a satin finish that feels incredibly smooth.  The neck is straight as an arrow and the truss rod functions smoothly.  The neck has a 1960's vintage-C profile and measures .863" deep at the 1st fret and .900" deep at the 12th fret.  The nut measures 1.64" wide.   The tuners all function smoothly and the headstock and logo display excellent.   The fingerboard is clean and like-new condition.  The frets are jumbo size and they are also like-new condition-see photos.  The action is set up for full shred: it is low and plays fast and easy with a light touch.  The string height currently measures .010" at the 1st fret and .050" at the 12th fret.  The guitar plays lights out up and down the fingerboard with no dead spots anywhere.  It is killer.

The original pickup is a high-output Fender Atomic unit.  Alnico V magnets and an excellent high-end brilliance coupled with high gain characteristics.  The pickup reads 16.03 ohms!  This guitar screams!

The bridge and tremolo function smoothly.

The guitar has a great feel and only weighs 7.15 lbs-so you can forget all about shoulder fatigue.  It is easy to wield  and very nicely balanced.  It's a lot of fun to play and it feels perfectly at home whether on stage or on your lap on the couch.

Comes with a soft case.
