This limited edition Epiphone Noel Gallagher Supernova was purchased 23 years ago, strummed a couple of times then put away under the bed until now. It is in exceptional condition. It is a Peerless (make in Korea) factory build and a very superb structural unit. No breaks, no cracks, no repairs. The metallic Manchester Blue (Pelham Blue) finish is mint. The high-content metallic paint changes the hue intensity along with the angle but looks totally stellar in all lighting!
The body is a long-tenon, set neck and semi hollow construction. Basically, this is a Gibson 345 body and neck with a reshaped headstock. The center block provides incredible sustain and tone to the bone! Some of the Noel Gallagher models did not have a signature on the pickguard and that is the case with this one.
The body is clean and the creme double-bound edge contrasts beautifully with the metallic blue finish. The neck joint is perfect and the neck angle is excellent. The neck itself is super straight with zero issues. The neck is nice and smooth and feels really good. The neck profile is best described as a slim taper vintage C-shape (if that makes sense.). The neck depth measures ..821" and .935" at the 1st and 12th frets, respectively. The nut width is 1.68" wide. So Its like a vintage width early 60's Gibson neck with a modern slim taper. Feels awesome. The tuners all function perfectly and smoothly. The headstock and logo display excellent. The fingerboard is a rosewood with beautiful contrasting grains. The split parallelogram position markers are pearloid and in perfect condition. The action is set low for an easy and fast playing experience. The string height measures .010" & .050" at the 1st and 12th frets, respectively. The guitar plays lights out. The frets have zero wear, and appear shiny and crisp like new-see photos.
Both pickups have an excellent signal and measure 8.86 ohms & 8.76 ohms in the bridge and neck positions, respectively. The controls all function smoothly and quietly. The tone is thick and has a superior brilliance. The pickups are the original Dot-Bridge/L.P.-Neck '57 Classic Humbuckers. They absolutely rip.
This guitar is very comfortable to play and only weighs 7.87 lbs!
It is an instant collector's item and being in pristine condition-it will be sure to appreciate in value. Comes with form fit hard case.
