Here is a fabulous Vintage Ventura V-200 B Jumbo acoustic guitar that was produced at the original Matsumoku factory in Matsumoto, Nagano Japan. The guitar is a 1973 model. This one has the beautiful Blonde clear gloss finish. The guitar is super solid and has no cracks, breaks or repairs. It is 100% original with no issues. It is set up and ready to go-it needs nothing.
The body is the familiar Gibson J-200 silhouette with the solid 'Heritage' twin-ribbon bridge for maximum volume and a sweet tone. The design incorporates a spruce top with maple sides and back. The finish is clean with a few pecks here and there, overall it is in very nice condition. The bridge and pickguard are flat and in very good condition. There is a tiny spot between the bridge and the pickguard where some finger wear is evident in the finish-see photos. The woodgrain is a high-contrast and looks spectacular. The joints and edges are all solid with no issues. The neck joint is a set-neck construction and it is an excellent fitment. The top is super flat and the neck angle is perfect.
The neck itself is maple, and it is straight and smooth. It feels really nice with a vintage-C shaped profile. The nut measures 1 11/16" wide and the neck depth measures .855" at the 1st fret and .955" at the 10th fret. It has a great vintage feel. The tuners all function smoothly and the guitar stays in tune excellent. The headstone and logo display every nicely. The pearloid crown inlays are all nice and bright and clean. The rosewood fingerboard is clean and has a nice soft feel. The grain becomes high-contrast towards the body and is really cool looking-see photos. The frets are super clean and crisp. The guitar has just had a professional fret dress including leveling, crowning and polishing. They look near-new condition-see photos. The action is nice and low for an easy playing experience. The string height measures .010" at the 1st fret and .050" at the 12th fret. It plays really great-like butter up and down the fingerboard with no dead spots.
The tone is rich and the volume is awesome. It really projects with a clarion definition. The big body provides a deep tone with smooth treble-perfect for a lead singer/accompaniment! The guitar is very well made and will make someone very happy. It is a lot of fun to play. It only weighs 5.02 lbs. so you can play it all night long without any fatigue. Comes with hard case.
