Here's a really nice and solid vintage Gibson ES-125 TDC. This guitar was made at the original Gibson factory in Kalamazoo Michigan, U.S.A. The guitar is clean and solid with no breaks cracks or repairs. It is set up and ready to go, it needs nothing. It is 100% original with original case.
The body features the single Florentine cutaway shape with F-holes. The original finish is cherry sunburst and it is nice and brilliant. The binding is clean and in excellent shape. The thinline body makes for a comfortable experience. The backside is a rich cherry red translucent and looks really nice. The neck angle is excellent and the neck fitment is solid.
The neck itself is straight and smooth. It has a nice wide neck with a medium thickness and rounded profile that is very comfortable. The nut measures 1 11/16" wide and the neck depth measures .829" at the 1st fret and 10.27" deep at the 12th fret. The tuners all function smoothly and the headstock and logo display excellent. The truss rod functions and the neck is super straight. The Brazilian rosewood fingerboard shows minimal wear-see photos. The rosewood has a cool coloring contrast-see photos. The frets are nice and clean with a crisp appearance-see photos. The action is low for an easy playing experience. The string height is currently set at .010" at the 1st fret and .050" at the 12th fret. The guitar plays great up and down the fingerboard.
The P-90 pickups both have an excellent signal and great balance. The neck measures 7.92 ohms and the bridge position measures 8.46 ohms. The tone is pure P-90 heaven: bright and punchy with a rawness that delivers the rock. The neck provides a full round tone and the bridge can be brilliant or nasty-with any quality tube amp cranked-it sounds amazing. The controls all function smoothly and quietly. The bridge and tailpiece are both clean.
The guitar is super lightweight-it only weighs 5.60 lbs! It is super-comfortable to play and feels great on a strap or in your lap. This guitar is lots of fun to play and sounds great unplugged too! It is a beautiful vintage Gibson and will make someone very happy.
