1977 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe Wine Red
1977 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe Wine Red
Here's a really nice example of a Gibson Les Paul Deluxe model. This one was made in 1977 at the Original Gibson Factory in Kalamazoo Michigan, U.S.A. This guitar is 100% original and in very good condition.
The original translucent red wine finish has a vibrant color and shines beautifully. The color has a way of looking a darker merlot when viewed at an angle and a lighter almost cherry hue when viewed dead-on. The color really becomes vibrant with increased light-and absolutely glows under bright stage lights. There is minor handling evidence here and there-overall, the guitar is in very nice condition. There are a some light line scratches here and there-mostly on the backside-see photos. The neck joint is solid and an excellent fitment. The neck itself is super smooth and laser-straight. The neck contour is best described as a vintage C-shape. The neck depth measures .827" at the 1st fret and .994" at the 12th fret. The nut is the vintage width and measures 1 11/16" wide. The tuners all function smoothly. The headstock and logo display excellent. The action is set low for a fast and easy playing experience. The string height at the 1st fret is .010" and .050" at the 12th fret. The rosewood fingerboard is super clean and the trapezoid position markers shine with a nice patina. The frets are super clean and have been leveled, crowned, polished and dressed and appear near new condition-see photos. The guitar plays great up and down the fingerboard with no dead spots. The mini-hum bucker pickups sing with an excellent signal. The bridge has an output of 6.53 ohms and the neck reads 6.13 ohms. They have a really nice balance. All of the electronics function as they should. The potentiometers date to the 21st week of 1977. The bridge and tailpiece are fully adjustable and in great condition. The guitar weighs 10.27 lbs.
Original Gibson hard case is included.
