Here’s a 1962 Fender Champ Amp 5F1 circuit in exceptional condition for your consideration.
This amp was made at the original Fender factory in Fullerton California USA.
The 5F1 model is the highest power of all tweed champ amps and also has the larger speaker.
This one has its original cover and is in exceptional condition.
Amp was in a closet most of its life.
When the original owner passed-the next owner took the amp to a local shop to get appraised. Of course the store tried to buy it for peanuts. When the new owner refused to sell, the store informed him that the amp needed some things to make it “safe”. This included the capacitor job, new speaker, fuse holder and 3-prong cord. Lucky for us-all of the original components were saved and they are included. The original speaker looks very nice. The capacitors are clean and not mushroomed and the cord is fine.
Everything is included in this listing.
The only thing that appears to be missing is one of the backing boards late screws.
Original handle is solid and the box is clean. The tweed has a great look. The grille cloth is super nice. It’s really an exceptional piece.
Oh-it sounds absolutely killer too. The quintessential fender tweed honk! It drives and fills the room with tone as you would expect from a tweed champ. The 5F1 model has a lot more volume than the earlier models-and this one really sounds good.
An amazing addition to anyone’s collection or studio.
