The action is set low for an easy playing experience. Currently, the string height measures .010" at the 1st fret and .040" at the 12th fret. The guitar plays with ease up and down the fingerboard with zero dead spots. It is also intonated and ready to go.

The pickups both have an excellent signal and the classic vintage Fender "bell" tone. The neck pickup's output measures 5.75 ohms and the bridge pickup's output measures 5.89 ohms. It has the classic vintage "U" profile and measures .857" deep at the 1st fret and .940" deep at the 12th fret. The nut is the standard 1.62" wide version. The tuners all function and look great with just a touch of patina. The chrome is nice and reflective. The headstock and logo display very pronounced and excellent. I love the black headstock with Gold lettering and Gold Fender logo-they should have done this treatment to all of their guitars in my opinion. The Rosewood fingerboard is super clean and has a fantastic grain and beauty. The pearloid position markers are clean and shine nicely. The binding is in excellent condition and looks really snazzy. The frets have been professionally leveled, crowned and polished. They appear close to new condition-see photos. There are no dead spots anywhere. The action is set low for an easy playing experience. The string height is .015" at the 1st fret and .085" at the 12th fret. It plays fabulous up and down the fingerboard.

The pickups both have an excellent signal and the output measures 10.64 ohms for the bridge pickup and 12.14 ohms for the neck pickup. The switch and potentiometers all function smoothly and quietly. The bridge is fully adjustable if you wish to raise the action to a higher level. The tailpiece is clean and the "F" Fender logo displays nicely.

The Bass has a great feel and of course it is very lightweight. It only weighs 6.40 lbs. so you can forget about shoulder fatigue-you can play this baby all night long and feel great. It's awesome on a strap or in your lap. being a hollow-boy, it is also really fun to play on the couch with no amp. once you pick it up-you won;t want to put it down... its that great.

Comes with original chipboard case. The case has wear but still functions for protection.

This one has Sold! If you have a guitar like this one that you want to sell, email us or call us direct: 785-766-8906 9am-9pm any day.

Here's an early 1963 Fender Jazzmaster in an early 3-color sunburst finish. This early offset was made at the original Fender factory in Fullerton, California U.S.A. in March of 1963. Neck stamp is perfect and the potentiometers date to 9th week of 1963 (late February/early March) corresponding nicely. The guitar is in 100% original condition. It is set up, intonated and it needs nothing-it is ready to go.

The body features deep contours front and rear. The 3-color sunburst has a beautiful brilliant appearance and the red is bright and unfaded. There is handling wear all over the face sides and back of the body-see photos. The Mojo is very impressive and although the guitar was clearly used it was not abused. The neck joint is solid and an excellent fitment. The neck itself is super straight with no issues. The neck is very smooth and feels excellent. The profile is best described as a vintage C. The neck measures .819" deep at the 1st fret and .969" deep at the 12th fret. The nut is nice and wide and measures 1.66". The tuners all function well and the headstock and Pre-CBS "spaghetti" logo display excellent with just a touch of patina. The Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard has amazing grain and feels super soft. Although difficult to photograph, there are two spots that resemble feathers in the grain-it looks amazing and just plain spiritual. Thankfully, this guitar had flat wounds on it its whole life-so fret wear was pretty much non-existent when it came into our possession. The frets are in excellent condition and just required the lightest of polishing to look as clean and pretty as they do-see photos. The action is currently set fairly low for an easy playing experience. The bridge is fully adjustable so if you prefer a higher action-it can accommodate easily. Currently, the string height is .010" at the 1st fret and .045" at the 12th fret. The guitar plays easily up and down the fingerboard with no dead spots anywhere. It plays like butter!

The pickups both have an excellent signal and balanced output. The Neck position measures 7.87 ohms and the Bridge measures 8.41 ohms.

As with all of the rest of the guitar-the whole wiring harness, pickups, and potentiometers are original. There is also a very short line crack in the pickguard just below the 3-way switch see photos. The pickguard is very nicely figured-see photos. That has been done here, so there are the original mounting holes on the bottom side-which is currently covered by the later tailpiece, with the exception of the lowest screw hole-see photos. The finish is a really nice tobacco sunburst and the coloring is strong and well-defined. There is faint weather checking here and there-most of it can not be seen unless up close. The back is clean and has a nice vintage look. Both the model ink stamp and serial number ink stamp are clearly visual inside the body-see photos.

The neck joint is solid and an excellent fitment. The neck angle is perfect with zero deflection. The neck itself is straight and smooth. It is a Mahogany construction.

The neck has a nice big feel to it and is best described as a typical 1950's Gibson vintage medium C profile. The girth measures .888" deep at the 1st fret and approximately 1.00" at the 12th fret. The nut measures 1.69" wide for excellent string spacing. The neck has a smooth feel. The original tuners are currently off of the guitar for safe keeping...They are in good condition-with nice buttons. The replacements are reissue units and they are the same size and use the original mounting locations. The headstock and logo display very nicely with perfect patina. The rosewood fingerboard is clean with some minimal wear in a few spots-see photos. The frets are in excellent condition. They have been professionally leveled, crowned and polished. The action is currently low for a fast and easy playing experience. The string height is .010" at the 1st fret and .050" at the 12th fret. The neck angle is perfect on this guitar-so you can adjust the bridge for a higher action easily-if that is your preference. As it is-it plays remarkable well. There are no dead spots anywhere and acoustically the guitar has a nice bright tone with incredible resonance and sustain. Then you plug it in!

The original P-90 pickups have an excellent signal and incredible tone. They really scream. The neck pickup measures 8.32 ohms and the bridge position measures 8.70 ohms. No disappointments here, for sure. The controls all function smoothly and quietly. The Nickel ABR bridge affords a much improved playing experience over the original trapeze bridge.

The guitar is nice and lightweight, only weighing 6.25 lbs. It is very comfortable to hold and lots of fun to play. It just feels great on a strap or in your lap.

A nice 1960’s Gibson hard case is included.

This one has Sold! If you have a guitar like this one that you want to sell, email us or call us direct: 785-766-8906 9am-9pm any day.

What a color! 1997 Fender Stratocaster California Special edition in its original Fiesta Red Finish with gold hardware. This model of Stratocaster was limited to a production run from 1997 to 1998. The California series model concept was an attempt to offer a vintage looking and feeling guitar with hotter pickups and medium jumbo frets. It was designed to be a serious player! Shortly after production began the Fender factory in Corona California suffered a catastrophic fire in the paint and finishing portion of their facility. The solution was quickly proposed to send USA-made bodies to Baja California and have them painted by the same workers traveling from the Corona, U.S.A. plant. Once the paint was applied, the guitars were then returned to the Corona U.S.A. facility for assembly. To streamline production-color choices were limited to Black, White, Sunburst, Candy Apple Red and Fiesta Red. Tex-Mex pickups were selected for a fatter low end, increased treble brilliance and higher output. The Medium Jumbo Frets afford easy bending and the 9.5" radius fingerboard offers enhanced playability. The model featured vintage bridge, vintage tuners and a nice 3-ply pickguard to round out the look.

This example is a 1997 and is an excellent player. The body has the nice big vintage style contours front and rear. The finish has a vintage appeal and although it is nice-it also displays some patina and mojo. It looks vintage and killer for sure. The neck slot is an excellent fitment. The neck itself is super straight and smooth. There are a few bumps on the backside of the neck and some honest playing wear-see photos. The neck profile is a vintage C and the nut measures 1.65" wide. The neck itself measures .854" deep at the 1st fret and .906" deep at the 12th fret. The gold tuners have patina but all function smoothly. The 50's-60's style PRE-CBS headstock and Transition-style logo display excellent. The maple fingerboard is clean and has minimal playing wear-see photos. The Medium Jumbo frets are in excellent condition and have just been professionally leveled, crowned and polished. They appear like-new condition-see photos. The action is low and the guitar plays superb. The string height is currently .010" at the 1st fret and .050" at the 12th fret. The action can be easily raised if you prefer a higher action. The guitar plays lights out. It invites bends and has a solid resonant feel.

The pickups all all have an excellent signal. The neck and middle position are both the stock vintage Tex-Mex units and the bridge unit has been swapped for a Dimarzio mini-humbucker. The neck pickup measures 6.24 ohms, the middle measures 6.26 ohms and the bridge measures 12.03 ohms! This guitar absolutely rips. It sounds like Stevie Ray Vaughn's Strat. Some of the potentiometers were updated to facilitate the pickup change-but the body was not modified in any way. There is a small hole where the previous owner wanted to add a micro switch like David Gilmour's but this was never done. The hole is tiny but it is there. The pickguard screws are gold and appear to be newer replacements. The bridge and saddles function and they have an excellent patina that just goes along with the rest of the guitar's personality.

This guitar is fairly lightweight-it only weighs 7.94 lbs. It feels great on a strap or in your lap. It is easy to wield and just feels right.

Comes with soft case.

This one has Sold! If you have a guitar like this one that you want to sell, email us or call us direct: 785-766-8906 9am-9pm any day.

Here's a nice clean 1963 Gibson EB-0 model bass guitar. These vintage basses are known for their light weight and easy playability. This one is 100% original, and very nice. It was produced at the original Gibson factory in Kalamazoo Michigan, U.S.A. in 1963 according to serial number.

The instrument features a one-piece mahogany neck joined with a one-piece mahogany body for maximum resonance and sustain. The headstock does have the 2 'wings' joined to the center section-which is standard Gibson design. If you look closely-you can see the joining lines and change in woodgrain direction. The headstock has never been broken and the body has no breaks or repairs either. It is a very solid unit.

The Cherry red finish is nice and smooth and exhibits minimal playing evidence. It is slightly toned but still very red and vibrant. The pickguard has 2 small cracks near the screws from shrinkage-this is pretty normal for any early 60's Gibson. The sides and backside are both in good condition also. The neck joint is solid with no issues and the neck angle is excellent. The neck itself is smooth and straight. It has a nice vintage U-shape and the nut measures 1.71" wide. The neck depth measures .906" at the 1st fret and 1.010" deep at the 12th fret. There is a small chip in the finish on the backside of the neck-see photos-it is a cosmetic and does not effect the structural integrity or playability in any way. The headstock is clean with minor rub wear on the edge and the tuners function as designed. The bass stays in tune well. The Logo displays nicely. The Brazilian rosewood fingerboard is nice and clean. The frets have been professionally leveled, crowned and polished and they are in excellent condition-see photos. The action is set low for an easy playing experience. The bridge is adjustable so you can raise the action if you prefer that. Currently the string height measures .010" at the 1st fret and .060" at the 12th fret. It plays like butter up and down the fingerboard. The pickup has an excellent signal and measures 28.2 ohms. The wiring harness and potentiometers are all original and function well. The bridge, pickup cover, tuners and string guard are all nickel pieces. They all exhibit a nice vintage patina.

The bass is very lightweight-it only weighs 7.37 lbs. It is super comfortable to play and you can forget all about shoulder fatigue with this baby.

This instrument is a lot of fun to play. It is right at home in the studio or on stage and of course the short scale makes it very enjoyable on the couch. It is an exceptional example of high quality craftsmanship-being an early 1960's Gibson and it will always retain its value. A smart choice for sure!

Comes with a used soft case (chipboard)

This one has Sold! If you have a guitar like this one that you want to sell, email us or call us direct: 785-766-8906 9am-9pm any day.

And now for one of the coolest looking vintage guitars of all time-I present to you: The Mosrite Mark I 'Combo" model. If you wanna call this a thinline, I really don't mind. The guitar doesn't care either. It does have one F-hole so the shoe fits...

This guitar was made in late 1966 at the original Mosrite factory on P-street in Bakersfield California, U.S.A. The latest production date I can find is the 51st week of 1966 on one of the potentiometers. So I'm thinking that if the potentiometer were made in the next to the last week of 1966-the guitar was completed in early 1967. The guitar is nearly 100% original, with the welcomed addition of better quality neck screw grommets & washers. The finish is really cool! Most of these Mosrite Combos are either natural, translucent green or bright red or worse-that horrible dark sunburst that looks like my blind great-grandmother painted it (she is also dead). But anyways-this one is the rare Ruby Red finish (some call it Candy Apple) which looks totally killer with that german-carved top and cream double bound body and F-hole. YES! that F-hole is total magic. Just look at it.

The finish is nice and vibrant. It does display line checking all over the front and back. It looks vintage and proper. There is a small spot on the backside that exhibits some rub wear-see photos. The guitar is a hollow body. The neck joint is solid and as mentioned earlier-the factory grommets have been upgraded to a thicker material with a washer underneath to enhance neck joint stability. These guitars did not have the amoeba-shaped neck plate that other Mosrites enjoyed-due to the hollow body construction. The neck angle is excellent and stable. The neck itself is perfectly straight with no issues. It is a typical Mosrite slimish U shape. It has the 1.65" wide nut and the neck depth measures .831" deep at the 1st fret and .826" deep at the 12th fret. The kluson tuners all function and the guitar stays in tune. The headstock and logo display excellent. The Rosewood fingerboard is nice and clean and displays some groove/fingernail playing wear-see photos. The guitar came from the factory with "speed frets" aka low frets. They are in decent condition and have just been professionally leveled, crowned and polished. The action is set very low for a fast and easy playing experience. The bridge can easily be raised if you prefer a higher action. Currently the string height measures .010" at the 1st fret and .050" at the 12th fret. The guitar plays nice and easy up and down the fingerboard. The short fret design yields one of the easiest string pressure guitars you've ever played. The vibrato tailpiece functions super-smoothly and is a lot of fun to use.

Both pickups have an excellent signal. The neck measures 11.57 ohms and the bridge measures 11.33 ohms-a very nicely balanced output. The electronics and harness are all nice and function perfectly. The original roller saddle bridge is in good condition-and the rollers don't really roll or spin around much at all.

The guitar is super lightweight and fun to play. It only weighs 6.37lbs so you can forget about shoulder fatigue or any neck pull with this one. This Guitar is right at home on the stage or in the studio. You'll have a lot of compliments and expect to get a more than a few "Wow, what is that?" remarks. The hollow body and F-hole make it a lot of fun to play unplugged on the couch too!

The original Mosrite hard case is included. It is in decent used condition. The neck joint is super solid and the neck angle is excellent.

The neck itself is super straight and has an amazing feel-that special '59 neck profile that everybody wants. The nut is 1.68" wide and the profile is best described as the perfect early 1959 profile. Dating by serial number-it is not necessarily an early 1959 unit, but the neck has that great chunky but not too chunky feel. The neck depth measures .928" at the 1st fret and .992" at the 12th fret. The tuners all function and the guitar stays in tune well. The headstock and logo display with an excellent patina, the toning on the headstock gives the logo a beautiful amber appearance-see photos. There is a small ding at the edge of the top right corner. The Brazilian rosewood fingerboard is clean and has a nice soft feel. The position markers have also toned and appear a bit amber-giving off a really nice patina touch. The mojo matches all over the guitar just right. The frets have been professionally leveled, cleaned and polished and appear in excellent condition and height-see photos. The action is set low for a fast and easy playing experience. The string height is set at .010" at the 1st fret and .050" at the 12th fret. The Junior has an incredible feel and responds with a light touch. It plays like butter up and down the fingerboard with zero dead spots. It is a lot of fun to play and is so fitting for a variety of styles. There is a nice wide spacing for open chords, power chords just feel powerful and you can bend with the best of 'em with this unit. Once you pick it up, you won't want to put it back down for sure. It is a fantastic player.

The pickup has an excellent signal and measures 9.09 ohms! Of course, it just screams and easily overdrives any quality tube amp. The entire wiring harness is original and untouched-and in excellent condition. The controls function smoothly.

The guitar weighs 8.41 lbs. and feels awesome in your lap or on a strap. This piece is an amazing addition to anyone's collection-and sure to continue to appreciate in value-after all, it it s a 1959 Gibson!

Comes with modern Gibson hard case. The case fits well, I prefer to put some sort of soft bolster underneath the body in order to keep the nut off of the lid.

This one has Sold! If you have a guitar like this one that you want to sell, email us or call us direct: 785-766-8906 9am-9pm any day.

WOW! This is an amazing example of one of the rarest and best looking vintage Fender Mustangs ever to come out of the Fender factory. It is a 1969 model and was made at the original Fender factory in Fullerton, California U.S.A. It is 100% original and in near-mint condition. It has been professionally set up and is ready to play-it needs nothing. I have a solid knowledge of these guitars and I have probably owned more than anyone else in the world-(250+ competition models alone). I mean it when I say this is a very rare unit to find in this clean of condition.

The offset contour body is super nice and features extremely soft contours that only the early versions have. Lots of attention was utilized in the initial shaping of this body-see photos. The finish looks amazing with minimal handling evidence. There is a tiny chip in the neck slot on the treble side-see photos. Thas it. The neck slot has the classic late-1960's paint stick shadow along with a factory neck shim and factory inspection ink stamps. The neck also has factory inspection stamps and a 1969 ink stamp also. The bass edge of the neck slot has a black shade that is evidence of additional fitment adjustments performed in the final assembly stage. This was very common in the early days of the factory's switch to poly finishes-the paint department was still applying the same amount of coats that they were used to spraying with the old nitrocellulose. The new poly covered much quicker-and did not need additional coats, so many neck slots, pickup cavities and control cavities required a retro-adjustment for fitment. The sides are nice and clean.

The Brazilian rosewood fingerboard has a beautiful high-contrast grain. I did a poor job of capturing the color of the fingerboard because I was a bit distracted by the super-clean frets. The frets look near new condition and have been serviced, crowned and polished-see photos. The clay dots are in excellent shape. The action is set low with minimal relief and the guitar plays like butter. The string height is currently .010" at the 1st fret and .055" at the 12th fret. The guitar plays great up and down the fingerboard with no dead spots.

The guitar sounds great plugged in and has the quintessential Fender "bell" tone and bright chime associated with vintage Fender pickups-the sound we all love. The pickups both have an excellent signal and nice balanced volume. The neck position measures 5.92 ohms and the bridge position measures 6.93 ohms. At this time in Fender's production history, the company utilized black pickup bobbins which necessitated a yellow date stamp in order to be identified during harness assembly. The company wanted a lighter colored pickup bobbin for quicker and easier identification in the marginalized lighting conditions so they began using a grey bobbin. As they integrated these grey bobbin pickups-they eventually began to assemble harnesses with both black and grey combinations. I do not see a date on the black pickup but the grey one is stamped 1964 on the top, underneath the pickup cover. These pickups are both correct purple coated wire units with original cloth leads. I have no way of verifying if they are both original to this particular guitar but many examples of grey/black bobbin combos exist. The 3-way switch is a newer piece. The rest of the harness is certainly all-original with cloth leads and date codes of 20th week of 1963 on both potentiometers. The controls function smoothly and quietly. The neck pickup has a thick smooth tone and the bridge position pickup has a bright sparkly treble as you would expect. The pickguard is in amazing condition-it fits nicely and has NO cracks! The front of the headstock and logo both display excellent with a touch a patina. The Brazilian rosewood fingerboard is super clean and has a nice soft velvety feel. The neck binding is clean and the original fret nibs are nice. The position markers are all nice. The frets are nice and wide and appear very close to new condition. They have been cleaned, polished and are crisp, shiny and free of corrosion-see photos. The action is set low for an easy and fast playing experience. The string height measures .010" a the 1st fret and .055" at the 12th fret. The guitar plays very easily up and down the fingerboard. The side position markers are all nice, the 21st fret side marker is either missing or pushed in a bit-see photos.

The P-90 pickups scream bloody murder as you would expect. Coupled with any quality tube amp-this guitar sounds absolutely awesome. Both pickups have an excellent signal and balance very nicely. The neck position measures 8.80 ohms and the bridge position measures 8.26 ohms. The controls and harness are all original and very nice condition. The potentiometers date to the 31st week of 1966 (1st week in August). The controls function smoothly and quietly. The bridge is the original "wraparound" stop tail, and it is super nice. If you don't use the vibrato, you can load the strings through the bridge and wrap over the top. This increases resonance, sustain and thickens the tone considerably. It also adds string pressure and provides an improved string bending experience. The original Vibrola functions smoothly and the tailpiece, arm and tip are all in very clean condition.

The guitar is super lightweight, it only weighs 6.78 lbs! The original finish is a factory poly-base coat with a nitrocellulose clear coat. There is really cool transverse line checking all over the body and headstock. It is fairly light but can be view easily up close and looks killer. There is also some longitudinal checking above the pickguard on the bass side with overlap between the two types of checking. It looks so cool! The finish and clear coat is 100% original. The body contours are nice and the shape is comfortable. There is light handling evidence all over, just typical stuff-see photos. On the backside, there is some toning in the belly-contour; again it is honest mojo and looks great. The neck joint is a good fitment and the 4-bolt neck plate is super-solid.

The neck itself is nice and straight. The truss rod functions. The neck width at the nut is the standard Jazz Bass 1.5" wide unit. The neck depth measures .818" at the 1st fret and .980" at the 12th fret. It has the typical tapered Jazz Bass neck profile that is best described ed as a small C shape. The original tuning machines all function smoothly and the bass stays in tune perfectly. The headstock and logo display very nicely with percent patina. Again, transverse line-checkin appears on the headstock which has toned to a beautiful amber hue. The 1966-style logo is very nice. The rosewood fingerboard is very clean and has a nice soft feel. The pearloid block position markers are nice and elegant. The frets have been professionally leveled, crowned and polished and appear near-factory height and look clean and crisp-see photos. The action is set low for an easy playing experience. The string height is currently .010" at the 1st fret and .095" at the 12th fret. It plays easily up and down the fingerboard with no dead spots and no clack.

The pickups both have an excellent signal and great balance. The neck position measures 6.44 ohms and the bridge position measures 7.40 ohms. The controls all work smoothly and quietly. The original CTS potentiometers date to the 43rd week of 1973 (October). The harness is clean and correct. The pickups have the quintessential Jazz Bass punch and attack with the brilliant treble and more defined bass low end. Sounds fantastic. The pickguard is nice and flat-the little thumb rest is missing but easily replaced if you so desire. The chrome covers look nice with minimal patina. The bridge and saddles are super clean fully adjustable.

This Bass is lots of fun to play. The bass weighs in just over 10-lbs.. pretty decent for a big bass guitar. It feels nice on a strap or in your lap. It sounds really clear and is perfect for a variety of uses including studio, live, songwriting etc. It has a string resonance and is even fun to play unplugged on the couch!

Included is the original Fender hard case which features the cool orange interior and it is in good condition.

This one has Sold! If you have a guitar like this one that you want to sell, email us or call us direct: 785-766-8906 9am-9pm any day.

Here is a super rare guitar. Although it is listed in the original Guild literature as a Stratford Starfire SF-350 model, the inside label denotes this model as an X 350 model (probably an early transition model) and it does list "cherry" on the label as well. There are only 3 known examples to currently exist, including this one. Talk about rare! According to serial number and date codes on the potentiometers, this guitar was made in 1962. It was produced at the highly respected Guild factory in Hoboken New Jersey, U.S.A. The guitar is 100% original and in very nice condition with no breaks, no cracks, no repairs...it is set up and ready to go.

The body is a large and in charge hollow body monster. vintage 1977 Gibson ES-335 TD model guitar in original "Wine Red" finish. It looks more like a darker version of the typical Gibson Cherry finish-I would call it Dark Cherry and be good with that. This particular guitar was completed on Monday, November 28th 1977 and the guitar was produced at the original Gibson factory in Kalamazoo Michigan, U.S.A. The guitar appears to be 100% original condition including the beautiful and vibrant finish. This guitar was obviously very well-taken care of its whole life and came from the original owner's family. It is free of any cracks, repairs contrast with the deep red hue. The backside is slightly darker and just as clean as the front-see photos. Look long, it's a beauty. The neck joint is solid and an excellent fitment. The neck angle is also excellent.

The neck itself is a 3-piece maple design and it is super straight with zero deflection. The backside is super smooth and very clean-see photos. The neck width measures 1.58" wide at the nut. The neck depth measures .774" deep at the 1st fret and .981" at the 12th fret. It is a classic vintage 1970's Gibson Slim/Medium profile. It feels very comfortable and lends itself to easy chord play down low with more girth for aggressive solos up higher. The original tuners are very nice and operate smoothly. The guitar stays in tune perfectly. The headstock and logo both display very nice along with the Gibson "Crown" inlay in the center. The rosewood fingerboard is very clean with only a couple of very small wear marks at the 1st fret and another small one at the 2nd fret-see photos. The block position markers are clean and classy. The frets are very good condition with a good height, wide profile and clean surface. They have been professionally leveled, crowned and polished. Some of the original fret nibs are still present on the upper frets-the rest have been worn down to the fingerboard edge. You can see that the frets do not protrude over the binding-indicating that they are indeed original. The action has been set low for an easy and fast playing experience. This guitar really plays nice with a very soft touch. The string height is currently set at .010" at the 1st fret and .055" at the 12th fret. It plays effortlessly all over the fingerboard with zero dead spots and zero fret buzz.

The pickups are the original "Tarbacks" aka "superhumbuckers" designed by Bill Lawrence. The pickups both have an excellent signal-the neck position measures 5.25 ohms and the bridge position is 7.90 ohms. All Tarbacks share this neighborhood and the disparity between rhythm and lead resistances. The reason for this is simple: The pickup design is very efficient and the neck position's bass response amplifies more, therefore it requires less output (response). These are some of my favorite pickups ever to leave the Gibson factory. They have more brilliance and low end than anything else Gibson ever offered-but the best part is the characteristic 'shimmer' that cuts through. They simply sound incredible at volume...You can't get enough of it. The entire harness is clean and functions perfectly. The potentiometers all match and date to 1977. It looks like the 43rd week, which would make perfect sense with the production date being a couple of weeks later. The switch on the lower bout is factory original and it is a 'split-switch' aka coil tap. When activated, it splits whichever pickup is selected and disables one coil of the humbucker-so you have a single coil. The net result is a thinner sound with less low-end. When the switch is in the position that it appears in these photos, the humbuckers operate normally. The pickguard is clean and nice and flat with no breaks or cracks. The bridge is nice and fully functional.

The guitar is actually lightweight, it only weighs 7.88lbs which is slightly less than your average Fender Stratocaster (8lbs. if you're curious). The guitar sits comfortably in your lap and feels nice on a strap. Of course it sounds fantastic even when it's not plugged in, and it is right at home on the couch. It sounds killer in the studio and really shines with any quality time amp cranked up.

The original Gibson form-fit hardcase is in good condition-the handle itself is broken on one end, but all of the latches function and the magenta interior is clean and looks really cool. The neck measures 7.39 Ohms and the Bridge position measures 7.37 Ohms...very well balanced. The whole harness and circuit is in great condition. The original potentiometers date to the 11th week and 30th week of 1978. The controls turn freely and quietly. The pickguard is nice and flat and stable. The bridge and tailpiece both have slight corrosion that matches the age of the guitar.

The guitar weighs 10.83 lbs and yes, it rocks.

This guitar is pretty much the quintessential "1970's Les Paul Custom" and it represents a highly collectible and super desirable hallmark of the Gibson heritage. It would make an excellent addition to anyone's collection and sounds great in the studio, plays great in live performance settings and just looks really really good sitting around the house.

Comes with original "protector" case-which is in decent condition and missing one latch but functions as a good protective home for your new #1.

This one has Sold! If you have a guitar like this one that you want to sell, email us or call us direct: 785-766-8906 9am-9pm any day.

This 1973 Gibson SG is 100% original and very clean condition. It is really nice and a collector's grade guitar. The guitar was produced at the original Gibson factory in Kalamazoo,Michigan, U.S.A. The guitar is has no breaks, cracks or repairs. It is set up and ready to play-it needs nothing.

The body is a beautiful piece of mahogany with cherry red stain. This paint technique was just too difficult for the employees to execute consistently and the frosted edge was dropped-leaving us left with a blue guitar. The Competition Burgundy name continued on as the official name in the Fender catalog. All Fender finishes that contained metallic paint were covered in a clear coat that was susceptible to yellowing, absorbing UV rays and oxygen, yielding a beautiful turquoise appearance which is what we have here.

Produced at the original Fender factory in Fullerton California in early 1970, this guitar looks killer. The guitar has mojo and character to perfectly compliment its famous association with Curt Kobain. There is minor handling wear all over the body-see photos. The guitar itself is very solid and most importantly it sounds awesome. The pickup switches have been replaced along with the output jack. These components were replaced with correct parts, the jack is a switchcraft unit. It is very clean and solid. The finish is amazing and looks good enough to be original-but I think it was sprayed over the top of a sunburst finish. A black light doesn't do much good to verify sparkle finishes. The neck finish is definitely original front and back, as is the logo decal. The fingerboard is an amazing slab style of Brazilian Rosewood and it is dark with a very tight grain. The guitar has obviously been very well cared for its entire life and fully functional. A vintage Bass VI is a rare Fender guitar for sure-and this one has the early features including pickup rings, flat top screws on the control plate as well as the 3-way pickup selector switch. Add that up with the fact that this one is a Pre-CBS version and still has the original Brown tolex hardcase and you have a winner.

The body is a really nice offset contour design with beautiful lines. The finish is a beautiful hue of Turquoise sparkle. It is glossy and looks killer. There are two small line checks in the clear on the side of the guitar. It certainly looks like a factory original finish-but I have no confirmation of that. I'm guessing the finish was applied in the early 1960's. It is really striking and goes well with that fire tortoise shell pickguard. The neck joint is solid and an excellent fitment.

The neck is straight and super smooth. The neck has a factory pencil date of "2-62" making it a very early production Bass VI. As previously noted-the finish on the neck is verified to be factory original. The neck has a great vintage C-shape profile and feels perfect. It is really smooth. The neck is 1.57" wide at the nut. The neck depth measures .822" at the 1st fret and .986" deep at the 12th fret. The tuners are very early examples that have the top post slotted. The tuners all function well. The headstock and logo display excellent. The fingerboard is a slab-style Brazilian Rosewood piece with very tight grain. It is dark and beautiful and feels so smooth. It represents an excellent example of why these Pre-CBS "slab board" fingerboards are so desirable. The fingerboard is super clean, as are the frets. The bass has always had this set of flat wound strings on it-according to previous owner. The high string is separating-so I removed it but it is included. Because the flat wound strings don't really wear the frets at all-the frets are in excellent condition-I would call them 'like new'. They are crisp and clean and shine like new-see photos. The action is low and the bass plays like butter. It has an easy touch and is lots of fun to play. The string heigh is .010" at the 1st fret and .085" at the 12th fret. Of course you can raise or lower the string height with the bridge-it is easy if you should choose to do that.

The Pickups all function excellent and have a strong signal. The neck measures 6.20 ohms, the middle position 5.92 ohms and the bridge measures 6.28 ohms. They are well balanced and sound killer. All of the electronics function smoothly and quietly. The potentiometers date to the 12th week of 1962-which lines up perfectly with the neck date. The bridge and tremolo function nicely and are both in excellent condition.

The bass is very well balanced and it is a lot of fun to play. It feels like an elongated jazzmaster and only weighs 9.03 lbs.-so it is very comfortable. It's so much fun and steals the show from all other vintage guitars-I mean, just look at it. The original Brown tolex hard case is included for safe keeping. It is in very nice condition as well.

This one has Sold! If you have a guitar like this one that you want to sell, email us or call us direct: 785-766-8906 9am-9pm any day.

You can always tell a good guitar because it has been played a lot. I guess not all good guitars have lots of wear, but all guitars with this much wear are always killer players. This vintage Fender Precision Bass has ALL of the mojo. At least there isn't any more of it around here-this bass has soaked it up. Produced at the original Fender factory in Fullerton California, U.S.A. in 1972, this bass has endured years of gigs, studios and presidencies. The potentiometers, tone cap and output jack were replaced in 1984 or so-other than that, it is all original.

The body has nice contours and as soon as you pick it up you recognize that it is a lightweight and comfortable piece. There is tons of checking and wear in the original sunburst finish. It offers zero apologies. The pickguard is nice and flat with no breaks or cracks. It looks great. The neck slot has a fender factory employee's inspection stamp; "Chambers" is a familiar sight to vintage Fender enthusiasts. Underneath the original pickups is another interesting stamp-this one in green ink. The word "SPECIAL" appears-denoting a specific custom order-which would have to be the original large '66' style frets and high-contrast rosewood fingerboard. There is also additional employee final assembly fine-fitment shaping in the neck slot. This was sometimes done to provide a cleaner fitment to pickgurads, control clearance, or to just get the neck to lay down a bit more evenly over the finish. It is pretty light but easily visible with the neck off-see photos. Back in 1975, Fender was still using lacquer finishes, alongside poly. I can't tell for sure what the base color coat is but the clear coat is definitely nitrocellulose lacquer-verifiable by some transverse line checking on the backside and one or two on the front. The checking is cool looking, and only visible at certain angles. There are small pecks and typical handling wear here and there-overall the finish presents very nicely with a vintage vibe. The neck slot has some grip tape in it that can easily be removed if you choose to. The neck fitment is nice and solid with no issues.

The neck itself is smooth and straight. The neck dates to 1975 and has a Fender employe inspection stamp on the bottom. The truss rod turns smoothly. The profile is the classic vintage C-shape and the nut measures 1.65" wide. The neck depth measures .871" at the 1st fret and 1.000" at the 12th. The neck feels nice and beefy. The tuners all function and the headstock and logo display nicely. The logo is the earlier big style-first introduced in 1968. The rosewood fingerboard is clean and has a nice soft feel. The frets have been leveled, cleaned polished and crowned and have a great height-see photos. The action is set very low for an easy playing experience. It can easily be raised if you like that. Currently the string height is .010" at the 1st fret and .050" at the 12th fret. The bass plays like butter! It plays like a guitar, in fact. It has a soft touch with no buzz or other issues.

The tone is pure quintessential Precisions Bass: excellent volume and a full low end that rumbles. The pickup output measures 10.37 ohms. The original pickups are grey bobbins with a date of 1973; which matches the potentiometer date codes as well. The controls function smoothly and quietly. The pickguard is nice and flat. There is a small spot on the pickguard near the truss rod that looks like someone repaired a previous truss rod access divot-see photos. They did a good job. The bridge is fully adjustable and functional. There are two saddle adjustment screws that have been replaced-and they are the only pieces on the guitar that aren't factory original.

The bass has a great weight. It checks in at 10.01 tbs-pretty lightweight for a 70's Precision Bass for sure. It is comfortable and perfect for a variety of uses; whether in the studio, at practice or on stage.

Comes with an aftermarket form-fit hardcase.

This one has Sold! If you have a guitar like this one that you want to sell, email us or call us direct: 785-766-8906 9am-9pm any day.

Wow! These Kustom guitars were only built for a very short time-maybe 2 years or less (mid 1967-early 1969). They are very rare-especially in any other finish than natural. Even better is when they have a matching headstock and the early WHITE pickguard!...but wait, even better than that is when they have a factory Bigsby tailpiece! This one has all 3: translucent Blue finish with matching headstock, 100% original with original Kustom hardcase. This guitar has no cracks or repairs and it is ready to play. It needs nothing, except you!

This K-200 Deluxe model Kustom was made at the Original Kustom factory in Chanute Kansas, U.S.A. in March 1968. It is one of the earlier versions and has a low serial number. The finish is outrageously cool. It is a Blue translucent finish that allows you to see the woodgrain! Very cool. The hue is bright blue, but appears a slight turquoise tint when viewed at an angle-see photos. The headstock and back of the neck match the body. I come across natural wood, black stained and walnut stained K-200's from time to time-but I've only seen a couple of Blue ones in all of my 37 years of business in the vintage guitar world and this is the only one I've seen with the earlier white pickguard.

The Thinline hollowbody guitar is fairly clean with a few pecks and rubs and other typical signs of handling evidence. Inside the control cavity-there is an employee hand-written date of 8-17 which could suggest a production date of either the 17th week of 1968 or it could be August 17th, 1967 as the volume potentiometers both date to the 1st week of 1967 and the tone potentiometers date to the 52nd week of 66 (hard to read for sure on the tone pots-the solder is on top of the year digit) So either way, the guitar was either assembled in late summer 1967 or early 1968. Moving on...The neck joint is solid.

The neck itself is straight and smooth. It has the classic vintage slim neck profile that is very similar to a Rickenbacker. The nut measures 1 5/8" wide and the neck depth is 6.94" at the 1st fret and 8.50" deep at the 12th fret. The binding is nice and there is only slight wear on the backside-just enough to call it 'broken in' see photos. The original Kluson double row nickel tuners all function nicely and the headstock and logo display excellent! The rosewood fingerboard is clean and exhibits slight wear-the frets have been polished and look excellent-see photos. The dot markers are really cool too. The action is low and this guitar plays great. The string height is currently .010" at the 1st fret and .055" at the 12th fret. It can easily be raised if you choose to do that. The strap pins are replacement pieces from the 1980's. The body has nice edges and looks and feels just perfect!

The neck itself is a classic '59 profile: not too angular and thick like a '58, but bigger than a typical '60. It has the wide nut which measures 1 11/16" wide. The neck depth measures .879" deep at the 1st fret and .955" deep at the 12th fret. Could it be any better? The neck is straight and smooth. The tuners are the original Kluson strip type. They function as designed. The headstock and logo are original and display Awesome with tons of checking and perfect patina-see photos. The action is set low for a fast and easy playing experience. The current string height is .010" at the 1st fret and .055" at the 12th fret. You can easily raise the string height with the bridge, if you like a higher action. The guitar plays really easily up and down the fingerboard. The Brazilian rosewood fingerboard is smooth and clean and has a soft feel. There are no dead spots anywhere and you can really pull some great bends with this guitar.

The original P-90 pickup sounds exactly as you would expect: it absolutely screams bloody murder when paired with any quality tube amplifier. It has an excellent signal too: measuring 9.94 ohms. The controls funtion smoothly and quietly.

This guitar is a lot of fun to play. It is extremely comfortable and easy access the higher notes with ease-no wonder so many lead players choose this design. The guitar is super lightweight-it only weighs 6.99 lbs. You can play all night and forget all about neck fatigue-this baby has you covered. You're going to want to play it all night long too-once you pick it up, you won't want to put it back down...it's that kind of guitar. Comes with an SKB hard case for protection. Johnny Thunders not included, Heartbreaker band sold separately.

This one has Sold! If you have a guitar like this one that you want to sell, email us or call us direct: 785-766-8906 9am-9pm any day.

This is a really nice vintage 1966 Fender Mustang wearing its original Dakota Red finish. This Offset was produced at the original Fender factory in Fullerton California, U.S.A. in the fall of 1966. It is full of original date codes and inspection stamps. The Mustang is 100% original and even comes with the original vibrato arm! It was obviously well-taken care of and we thank the previous owner for his service. Below it is the “second” stamp that Gibson seemed to use a lot of for tax reasons-like most others that have this stamp, I can not find any flaws whatsoever that would necessitate it. The headstock and logo display excellent-near new condition. The truss rod turns smoothly and looks like new-see photos. There is an employee inspection initial inside the truss rod recess-pretty cool! The Rosewood fingerboard is clean and feels smooth and soft. The block position markers are in excellent shape. The frets have been crowned and polished and they present like-new condition-see photos. The action is set medium-low for a fast and easy action. The string height measures .010" at the 1st fret and .085" at the 12th fret. The guitar plays great up and down the fingerboard. There are no dead spots whatsoever. The action can be easily lowered by sanding the bottom of the saddle, or raised with a saddle shim if you prefer a different action. As it is, it plays great and has a big tone with an incredible volume.

This guitar is lightweight and fun to play. It is really in excellent condition-thank you to the previous owner, who purchased it new and always kept it stored properly. Comes with a vintage Lo Duca Bros. vintage chipboard case that has a cool blue felt interior.

Amaze your friends, and feed your soul. This guitar would be an amazing addition to anyone's collection. And just in case you are wondering; yes, you do deserve it.

This one has Sold! If you have a guitar like this one that you want to sell, email us or call us direct: 785-766-8906 9am-9pm any day.

Even though the Gretsch 6122 model featured the endorsement of Chet Atkins, we all know why these guitars sold like crazy from 1964-1969... The guitar has been professionally set up and ready to go-it needs nothing. Also, it is 100% original.

The body is super clean and the finish is glossy and beautiful. The heavy metallic Pelham Blue finish looks really nice and shimmers in the light at low angles-see photos. The binding is clean and crisp. If you don't know, the body is basically constructed like a Les Paul with F-holes: It is a chambered mahogany with set-neck construction. The top is pretty mint, as are the sides. There is minimal handling evidence on the backside, looks like polishing cloth lines-difficult to see. The neck joint is solid and an excellent fitment. The neck angle is superb. The truss rod has never even been touched since new.

The neck itself is smooth and super straight. It is a Mahogany construction and has a classic 60's Slim taper profile. The neck measures 1 11/16" wide at the nut. The neck depth measures .815" at the 1st fret and .880" deep at the 12th fret. The back of the neck is also Pelham Blue and shows zero wear. The original Grover tuners function smoothly. The headstock and logo display excellent. The Rosewood fingerboard is super clean and smooth. The binding is in perfect condition as are the dot position markers. The frets appear like-new condition-see photos. It is obvious that this guitar has simply not been played at all. The action is set low for an easy playing experience. The string height currently measures .010" at the 1st fret and .050" at the 12th fret. It plays like butter with no dead spots and no fret buzz whatsoever. If you prefer a higher action, you can easily raise the string height with the adjustable tune-o-matic bridge. As it is, this guitar plays lights out and has an inviting feel with a super easy, soft touch.

The pickups have an excellent signal and balance. They are the original Gibson PAF Burst-Buckers and the neck pickup measures 7.74 ohms and the bridge position checks it at 8.15 ohms. The PAF Burst-Buckers are excellent pickups and offer a nice variety for all kinds of playing styles. The harness is mint and the controls function smoothly and quietly. The hardware is super-clean and the bridge/tailpiece look like new also.

This guitar is lots of fun to play. It is super comfortable to play whether on a strap or in your lap. It only weighs 8.53 lbs. so you can forget all about neck/shoulder fatigue. The guitar sounds a lot like a Les Paul-it has a full tone with sweet brilliance and lots of low-end. The chambered body makes it feel lighter than a Les Paul-but it still has all of the resonance and sustain.

This guitar is sure to be a collectible unit soon-there's really nothing like the Midtown in production these days and a Pelham Blue one is super rare! I have seen a Midtown in Pelham Blue before-but never a used one this clean. They typically have lots of wear and check lines, because people want to play them! This one is an exceptional piece.

The original Gibson hard shell case is included, of course. Chambers" ink stamp.

The neck itself is smooth and straight and has that awesome vintage Fender feel. The date stamp on the end is very faded and difficult to read. It appears to be 3 JUN 72 B. The backside of the neck has an inspection ink stamp that reads "Krausfeldt" -another well-known Fender employee from the 70-72 time period. The truss rod turns easily and the neck is in really good condition. The profile is the familiar vintage-C shape with the standard B width. It measures 1.60" wide at the nut. The neck depth measures .815' at the 1st fret and .895" at the 12th fret. The original tuners all function smoothly and the guitar stays in tune well. The headstock and logo display excellent with just a touch of patina. The rosewood fingerboard is clean and has a really beautiful, high-contrast grain-see photos. The Rosewood fingerboard is fairly rare for this time period and this one has a really nice soft feel to it. I think it really compliments the Daphne Blue finish of the body and is one of the best combos ever offered. The frets are nice and tall and have been professionally leveled, crowned and polished and look and feel super crisp-see photos. The action is set low for an easy playing experience. Currently the string height is .010" at the 1st fret and .050" at the 12th fret. The Telecaster plays like butter up and down the fingerboard with no dead spots anywhere. The radius feels a bit flatter than a 1960's Telecaster-which is common for this era-especially with rosewood fingerboards. Most people find it to be more comfortable and easier to play-especially up high.

The pickups both have a good signal and are well balanced. The neck pickup measures 7.52 ohms and the bridge pickup measures 7.78 ohms. The neck pickup looks like a Fender AVRI unit with correct purple windings and cloth wires. The bridge pickup is a Seymour Duncan STL1-B Broadcaster unit. This pickup is an Alnico V high-output design which captures the early 1950's Twang that we all love. It has a fat, punchy and aggressive tone. The 3-way switch is original to the guitar and the potentiometers and tone capacitor have been replaced with quality components. The pickguard is nice and flat and fits nicely. The bridge is a Fender AVRI unit with correct stainless saddles and it is fully functional.

The guitar is lots of fun to play-it is very comfortable and lightweight. It weighs exactly 7.77 lbs. This would be an excellent guitar for playing out! It is equally at home in the studio or even on the couch. It's lots of fun and a great opportunity for you to get a vintage Fender Telecaster for less money than a Custom shop reissue-It's the real deal!

Comes with a used tweed hardcase for protection.

This one has Sold! If you have a guitar like this one that you want to sell, email us or call us direct: 785-766-8906 9am-9pm any day.

Here is a really nice vintage Fender Stratocaster from one of the hardest eras to find such a model ('68-'71). Synonymous with Jimi Hendrix, the CBS logo big-headstock Stratocaster was only made for a very short period beginning sometime in 1968 and is one of the rarest era-Stratocasters of all time (fewer orders and changing strategies at Fender resulted in very limited batches throughout 1969 and 1970-with the model being completely revised by early 1971). The headstock features the new-for late 1968 big Fender logo in Black with large "Stratocaster" and the ubiquitous "With Synchronized Tremolo" script flowing alongside the lower French curve profile. A more durable poly finish was used in conjunction with the nitrocellulose lacquer that Fender had always used. Chrome F-key tuners made their first appearance as well. Other than that-the basic Stratocaster appointments remained in place including the 4-bolt neck, staggered pole piece pickups, steel block tremolo and patent pending stamped bridge saddles. This unit here began life in 1969 at the original Fender factory in Fullerton California, U.S.A. The guitar has all of the provenance including ink date stamps, ink inspection stamps, employee name stamps, pencil batch, and electronic date codes. It is all original with the exception of a period-correct 5-way switch, and a couple of solder touch-ups. It is set up and needs nothing-it is ready to go.

The body is the familiar double cutaway Stratocaster profile that remains unchanged since 1954-why mess with perfection? The Red Alder body is in excellent condition. The finish shows typical handling evidence all around the outside edges including nicks, pecks, and rub wear-see photos. Overall-the finish on the body looks really good-the colors are vibrant and unfaded with a really nice wide red band. The neck slot has a nice paint stick shadow with factory employee ink stamp "Chambers"-very typical of this time period and exactly what you'd want to see. The neck joint is a good fitment and the neck angle is good.

The neck itself is smooth and straight with minimal wear. It has a classic vintage C-shape and measures 1.62" wide at the nut. The neck depth measures .885" at the 1st fret and .950" at the 12th fret. The green ink stamp displays "22 (Stratocaster) 481 (batch code) 119 (November 1969) B (standard 1 5/8" nut width). There is an inspection stamp "59" along with a pencil lot number "3" on the backside on the neck. The tuners all function smoothly. The headstock and decal display excellent-see photos. The rosewood fingerboard is clean and has a nice soft feel. The frets are in excellent condition and have been professionally leveled, crowned and polished-see photos. The action is set low for an easy and fast playing experience. The string height measures .010" at the 1st fret and .050" at the 12th fret. The guitar plays really nicely up and down the fingerboard with zero dead spots.

The pickups have the quintessential Fender "bell" tone and all 3 have a good signal. The bridge reads 4.29 ohms, the middle reads 5.73 ohms and the neck position reads 5.46 ohms. The switch was changed to a period-correct 5-way unit for both out-of phase positions-which so many people did and still do! The controls all function smoothly and quietly. The electronics harness is in excellent shape and the potentiometers date to the 52nd week of 1970. This indicates the guitar was assembled on the last week of 1970 or shortly thereafter in 1971. I typically date vintage guitars in accordance with serial number (when applicable) or to the last known date code I can find inside, which would be 1970. The bridge and saddles all function as designed and the intonation is set perfectly. The Synchronized Tremolo (Vibrato, actually) functions smoothly.

The guitar is a real joy to play. It weighs just 7.86 lbs which is an excellent weight for a Stratocaster. The factory contours are well-designed and provide a comfortable playing experience whether sitting or standing. On a strap or in your lap-this guitar feels great. The original Fender hardcase is included, of course.

This one has Sold! The string height is .010" at the 1st fret and .050" at the 12th fret! That is seriously low and unheard of for an acoustic. There are no dead spots anywhere and zero fret buzz when played with normal strumming pressure. Of course you can easily raise the string height with a saddle shim-if you should desire a higher action. As it is-it plays like butter and just fells incredible.

The tone has an excellent projection with that full Gibson warm and woody sound. The Midrange is exceptional and the low-end thump is perfect. These guitars are known for their intimate sound and this one doesn't disappoint. The volume is really good too, and the overall exceptional tone can be attributed directly to the rosewood bridge. This is one of those guitars that you will want to play and play and never set back down. It is a lot of fun and perfect for songwriting-stage-playing, and certainly recording-where it just blows everything else away. It has an incredible soul.

Ok-that's enough fan action for now. This vintage Gibson comes with a 1980's Gibson Hardcase. The case is nice and functions well-the handle wrap-protector thread is beginning to unravel but isn't in the way or anything. The interior is a cool Dark Purple-Blue that looks really cool around the Cherry Sunburst.

This one has Sold! It produces a distinct, scooped mid-range with pronounced high-end sparkle and tight lows. The finish is in excellent condition, with only a couple of tiny pecks on the backside and some very light arm-wear on the top edge-see photos. The pickguard is very nice and flat-and fits excellent. There are some pick-lines in the 'guard above the pickups-see photos. The neck joint is an excellent fitment and the neck angle is perfect and also adjustable. The neck slot itself has a few inspection ink stamps as well as the serial number sticker affixed over the paint stick shadow.

The neck itself is straight as an arrow and very smooth. It has a perfect Vintage medium-C shape profile just like a Stratocaster (that's exactly what these necks are-just with a different decal). The neck width measures 1.62" wide at the nut and the neck depth measures .867" at the 1st fret and .957" deep at the 12th fret. The end of the neck has the familiar dark red ink stamp "TEL-DELX '73" as well as an inspect sheet fixed to the backside. The tuners are all in excellent condition and turn smoothly. The headstock and logo display excellent. The maple fingerboard is in excellent condition as well. The frets are the factory Jumbo sized units and the have been leveled, crowned and polished and appear near-new condition-see photos. The action is set low for a fast and easy playing experience. The string height measures .010" at the 1st fret and .055" at the 12th fret. The Tilt neck adjustment allows for a wide range of neck angle setups-if you prefer a higher action. Or you can simply raise the adjustable saddles, everything functions perfectly. As it is the guitar plays lights out! There are no dead spots whatsoever and it plays like butter up and down the fingerboard. This guitar provides the player with amazing bends. It is lots of fun to play, you won't want to put it back down once you pick it up.

The pickups are the highly coveted "Wide Range" humbuckers designed by Seth Lover. Although Fender really wanted a guitar that sounded like a Les Paul (and played like a Stratocaster and looked like a Telecaster) Seth Lover designed these pickups with wide bobbins for a warmth and clarity without the muddy qualities that humbuckers sometimes have. These pickups sound distinctively clear, with a "bell" tone and brilliant, biting highs and a warm, rich bass. The pickups both have an excellent signal and balance. The neck position measures 10.80 ohms and the bridge position measures 10.88 ohms. The wiring harness is in excellent condition and the controls function smoothly and quietly. The potentiometers date to 1st and 22nd week of 1979. The pickup co era and bridge display a slight bit of patina which adds to the vintage vibe perfectly.

The guitar is super-resonant and is a lot of fun to play-even unplugged! It has a weight of 9.91 lbs. There are numerous Fender factory inspection stamps and inspection marks in the neck slot, pickup cavity and neck. It is 100% original. The original neck plate has a small amount of corrosion on it, so it currently has a same-era original Fender neck plate that is really clean because that's the way the former owner liked it. Both neck plates are included, along with the Original Fender moulded Hard Case. Pretty cool, huh?

But wait-there's MORE! This Telecaster Deluxe has the original hang tag booklet with serial number stamp and it is also included because that's what I like.

This one has Sold! If you have a guitar like this one that you want to sell, email us or call us direct: 785-766-8906 9am-9pm any day.

I see 1950's ES-140's come up on the market every now and then, but what I never see is the really early ones...and certainly not the 1st model year 1950-versions. Well guess what? That's right-we have a vintage 1950 Gibson ES-140 3/4 available right now! It has the early features like the tall knobs and earlier P-90 pickup with Alnico III magnets. This guitar was produced at the original Gibson factory in Kalamazoo Michigan, U.S.A. in 1950. The guitar is super-solid with no breaks, no cracks, no repairs-no funny business. The neck angle is awesome and the guitar plays excellent. It is 100% original with newer tuner buttons (you'd never know unless I told you-they look original). This guitar has been professionally set up and is ready to go-it needs nothing.

The body is a single Florentine cutaway Double-Bound Electric Spanish silhouette and measures 12.75" wide (3/4 the size of the standard ES-model size-hence the name) with a depth of 3.25". The string height is .010" at the 1st fret and .055" at the 12th fret. The guitar has flat wound strings on it currently. It plays really nicely up and down the fingerboard. There are no dead spots anywhere. The short scale makes it a lot of fun to play individual notes at a fast speed, or chords with ease.

The pickup is the early version of the P-90 model. It has the Alnico III magnets that were very consistent and have more brilliance and a sweeter tone than the later versions with the Alnico V magnets. The pickup has an excellent signal and measures 8.45 ohms! The wiring harness is in excellent condition and the potentiometers turn smoothly and quietly. The original "Tall hat box" gold knobs are in very good, readable condition. The original faux Tortoiseshell pickguard is in excellent condition-with no cracks and the coloring is really nice-see photos. The Tailpiece is in excellent condition. The Rosewood bridge and saddle are in excellent condition and the adjustable function works smoothly. It has some factory employee's writing on the bottom of the base-most likely production batch numbers-very cool and authentic. Hard to imagine this guitar was actually produced before the Telecaster or Les Paul models...In fact it blows my mind that Rock & Roll wasn't even close to happening when this guitar was being made! Crazy.

This guitar is super-lightweight and extremely comfortable to play. It sits great on your lap and feels amazing on a strap. It only weighs 4.22 lbs. -that makes it one of the lightest electric guitars we have ever had. It is perfect for Studio, on-stage, songwriting-virtually everything you can think of for Guitar playing. And Camping! It is so portable and doesn't even need to be plugged into an amp to have fun with.

Comes with a Quality Hard Case for safe keeping. The body has a bit of room in the case, so an extra bit of padding like a small hand towel or couple of T-shirts would fix that. It will be packed properly for shipping of course.

This one has Sold! If you have a guitar like this one that you want to sell, email us or call us direct: 785-766-8906 9am-9pm any day.

Here's a Gibson LG-2 Banner guitar produced at the original Gibson factory in Kalamazoo Michigan, U.S.A. in 1944. Such a great guitar and Yes, it has the most gigantic neck ya ever did seent.

This one has Sold! If you have a guitar like this one that you want to sell, email us or call us direct: 785-766-8906 9am-9pm any day.

This beautiful 1964 Fender Jazzmaster is an amazing example of a clean Pre-CBS Custom Color Offset. The Olympic White finish and matching headstock paired with the incredibly vibrant tortoiseshell pickguard make for an iconic combination. The guitar is 100% original.
